Infant side:
Specially shaped square corners for a snug fit. This safer design prevents baby from getting caught in the corners of the crib, and prevents sheets from coming off, which can be a suffocation hazard to the infant. 2-inch hypoallergenic foam base gives better support for the undeveloped back and neck area. Fiber wrap is made up of man made materials, non allergenic. Provides a safe, evenly supported sleeping surface for infant and toddler. Staph-Gard Cover is the same fabric protection used in hospitals. This extremely safe surface resists bacteria and germ growth. It is also water, mildew and rot resistant. Thicker protective wrap provides even support and the additional non-allergenic layers provide a plush sleeping surface.
Toddler Side:
A firm support structure offers durability and support for toddlers.
15 gauge interwoven continuous coil system is firmer and less likely to develop lumps and ridges. Extra heavy steel gauge border rods keep sides, corners and edges firm, just like an adult mattress. Steel X-frame gives additional support in the center of the mattress preventing that area from bowing. Non-allergenic materials and Staph-Gard protection is used throughout the entire crib mattress.
